How many wool soakers do I need?

I want to go with wool soakers most of the time over our prefolds and fitteds. I also use some pockets to wear under clothes and just when she's too fussy to lie still for me to put on a prefold. I use about 10 prefolds between washings. I'm confused about how many covers I should have since you don't wash wool after every use. How many wool covers do you have?

Re: How many wool soakers do I need?

I have four soakers for my DD age 9 months. Most of the time it is enough, sometimes though I wish I had a few more. I air dry them between diaper changes and wash them when they get poo on them. HTH

My little one hasn't made his grand appearance yet, but I was given recommendations for 6 wool soakers. We're doing fitteds and wool soakers with prefolds and plastics as backups.

I use half pockets and half fitteds, and we have 3 soakers. I alternate every change, and they take about 24-36 hours to dry when you wash them, so if one is wet, that still leaves two.

ETA: I also have some Thirsties covers as a backup. I don't trust wool soakers in the car seat.

4-6 should be enough.
