Re: should your baby carrier match the gender of the baby?

I guess it depends... I said no b/c I bought a BabyHawk MT in a pink and purple swirl. Its really pretty and I love it but its so not boyish. LOL People do think he's a girl but even if my MT was blue they'd think that. They did it with my 4th ds too... LOL

You know, I have really done a whole lot of thinking on this and I have decided that I want my boy to be called a boy. What would be a boyish girl color? At least with a girl, you could put a big bow in her hair . That is just what I think ???

I don't think it matters. I had a pink/grey ring sling and a blue/black mei tai and my girl was called a boy all the time because she has next to no hair.

Re: should your baby carrier match the gender of the baby?

I was just discussing this with my DH last night!

I found the prettiest corduroy at the fabric store... a vintage rosey-pink with embroidered flower outlines... I could never make clothing for myself out of it, but it would make a wonderful carrier.

Buuut... I think I'm having a boy - as does everyone else, and I think I will have to stick with colors and designs that are a little less feminine, even though I agree that the carrier is part of my wardrobe, and not the baby's.

Re: should your baby carrier match the gender of the baby?

I prefer to have my carrier match my clothes. I won't wear it if it doesn't match me kwim? That being said alot of my carriers are GN just because I wear lots of blues and earth tones. So I guess it's kind of a personal thing. I don't have any really girly carriers, but they wouldn't really match me any way. Though I do covet a pretty purple kimono blooms and purple minkee babyhawk. I love purple and I don't think it is too girly.
