Difference between L and Petite L FB?

Can someone tell me the difference? Is it rise or waist that is smaller? Thanks!

We found that the larges were HUGE on my son when he was outgrowing his mediums. I believe that the rise in the Petite size is the same, but its the build of the waist. The Petite size fit him perfectly, we still have quite awhile to go before the larges will fit.

Good to know! We are on the last snaps on the Mediums, and I didn't know which ones to get. I think I'll try to pick up one of each and see what works.

My problem wasn't with being on the last snaps, it was that the rise in the mediums was becoming so short on him. The larges were just too big in the waist. I think the Petites are just what the name says...for Petite (tall, slender) babies. If you have a chunky baby, the larges would probably fit better. But I would do what you said and get one of each to try out. Its all in the build of your baby.

Re: Difference between L and Petite L FB?

i found this size chart for FBs (it's not from MOE so I don't know how official it is). apologies for the formatting...i haven't figured out tables yet.

Fuzzi Bunz
Waist Leg Rise
Extra Small 4-10 lbs. 8-16" 4-8" 13.5"
Small 7-16 lbs. 15-19" 5-10" 15"
Medium 13-25 lbs. 17-22" 9-13" 17"
Petite Toddler 18-30 lbs. 16-20" 9-12" 19"
Large 22-35+ lbs. 18-24" 11-14" 19"
Extra Large 35-55 lbs. 20-25" 14-16" 20"

my only advice would by that owen seems like a pretty big boy, but once he gets more mobile he may slim down somewhat. his measurements that i made his shorts to are quite similar to my 19 mo - she weight 23ish lbs, 31" tall, 13" thigh, 20-21" waist & 17.5 rise and she fits pretty comfortably (except for the rise) into a medium.

when i first started cding her at 9 months she was at her chubbiest and mediums were a little too small but larges were way too long in the rise really. they worked, but they didn't fit well.

i think a lot of kids go through a somewhat awkward transition there - some move into larges and stay there while others revert back to mediums for awhile before outgrowing them in the rise.
