Am I totally missing something here?
My daughter is only 8 months old and most of her mediums don't fit!
She weighs 19 pounds....is that normal?

I think it depends on the diaper. My dd is almost 5 mos and about 15 - 16 lbs. She wears some mediums and some larges. Her medium FBs fit her perfect on the smallest waist and second smallest theigh (she is a chunky thing) She's on the second rise on her BGs. But it's a stretch now to get her infant size prefolds on her so I need to start looking for some premiums. Her Sandy's small is getting low on the rise and all my other "one-size" fitteds are on their longest rise settings. I just got a med. Rumpster and a med. Swaddlebees AIO in the mail today but I was shocked at how small they were. I double checked the measurements and stuff online and they should fit her but I can just barely get them on her. She definately needs larges if I try to get more of these. I have two WWB covers, one med and one large. I can only use the medium if I use one infant size prefold (which needs to be changed as soon as she wets it). The large I can use over almost any fitted or more than one prefold. Her Bummis med fits perfectly over any diapering combination with room to grow. So I think it just depends on your child and how you use the diaper and what kind of fit you prefer (very tailored, trim fit vs. a little bulkier, baggier but lots of room to grow)

Well, how chunky is your kid? LOL. Seriously, my DS is 5 months, 20 lbs, and most of his mediums are too short in the rise. He needs either medium-longs or larges, depending on the dipe.

Re: how long was dc in mediums?

Another chunky baby mama whose not fitting into mediums.... her big bubble bottom makes the rises all too short.

She needs a taller medium, or larges. But larges are iffy.... right now prefolds and BG are the best fits.

Re: how long was dc in mediums?

I started using cloth when my son was 8 months old--he was shorty and chubby and on the last snaps on the FB. Now he's 25 months old and STILL in medium...still short, but the rise fits him perfectly now and he's on the 2nd snaps.

Re: how long was dc in mediums?

My DS is 6 months and 16.5 lbs. and is still in small BSWW covers and infant prefolds with *plenty* of room left. Now that he's mobile and not getting chubbier (he was always a 'long and lean' baby) i anticipate that he'll fit in smalls for another month or two (he does fit into medium proraps and has pretty much outgrown his small . Medium BSWW are *huge* on him as are premium prefolds. He moved into size smalls at 5 weeks.
