Re: how long was dc in mediums?

all my 3 dc are in mediums LOL. my 3.5 month old fits a med at about 14 lb, and my 20 mth old chubby 26lb is in a med, and my 3 yr old slender 28lb is in a med LOL. They all fit the same diaper. Although a large fits the oldest two as well, so we have both. (they are all my diapers(Dimple Cheeks)
soooooo I would say you should be safe with mediums for a while with most diapers.

My DS is 15.5 lbs and 7 months old. He wears Mediums. DD is 23 months and 22 lbs and wears meds... she is pling and will def. be in mediums for the duration of diapers... DS is shaping up to be thin and long as well... so I'd guess he'll be in meds for a very long time too!

I think it depends on the child and the childs build. I think were in med 6 months. Usually children double thier birth wieght by 6 months and triple it by 1 yr.

Re: how long was dc in mediums?

DD potty trained in mediums! She was about 24 lbs then and slim so most mediums still fit her. I think she wore mediums from about 3-4 mos until potty training. If I wasn't such a diaper freak it would've been pretty frugal.

I think the main thing with us is the rise. So many low rise dipes don't work long for us in mediums because of the rise. We're talking plumber's butt here!

yeah my first ds followed that rule almost perfectly, second ds missed it (although he weighed too little)....apparently someone forgot to tell brighton about it LOL!!! he was 7 4 at birth, and now at 6 weeks old weighs 13 pounds.....i'm pretty sure he's going to have more than doubled his weight at 6 months!!!!!!!!! he's not far off from doing so right now. i was SO NOT expecting to have a 6 week old in medium dipes and 3/6 -6/9 month clothes.... this is me so confused LOL

Re: how long was dc in mediums?

I used sposies with my older two - and both PL'ed out of a size 3. Dorothy at 5 still fits into Liam's Medium diapers - she's 26 lbs and rather slight. However, Dustin - at age 7 & 45 lbs can still fit into Liam's medium longies/shorties -though he'd just die if he knew I said that LOL! He won't try on a diaper

Liam is 19.5 lbs, 15 months, 29 inches tall and in mediums.

Re: how long was dc in mediums?

dd is still in Mediums at 19lbs, ds (3y.o.) can still wear some of hers at a tall & skinny 35lbs. Just depends on the rise and build. Both my kiddos are skinny. Chubby thighs, or a long rise may affect how certain dipes fit. DS never made it to XL's. He wears mostly Larges at night and even some Mediums of dd's. HTH!
