Diaper Swappers

Hi there, I was wondering if anyone else chooses to have a special outfit to put your LO in for their trip home from the hospital/birth center? If so where did you get yours? Ultimately I'd like to buy from a mama on hyena cart vs purchasing something at BRU but I don't know where to begin. Any suggestions?

I've only got one LO, but because we didn't find out gender I got a really sweet little yellow and green outfit for him. When he gets siblings, they will wear the same outfit for their newborn pictures (planning on homebirths in the future).

I suggest Positively Posh because I am in love with her work.

I jsut choose a really nice gender neutral sleeper for DS to come home in, as we didn't know gender. This time we don't know gender either so I have one pink and one blue to come home in.

I had PKat here on DS knit me a pair of longies a hat and booties, I just need a shirt made up. One girly and one boyish....I think I am just going to make my own shirt to go with the longies.

ETA: I keep a keepsake box for my kids. They each have one with their hospital ID bands, the little onesie the nurses put on them, and the hat they put on them, and their going home outfit....I also threw in a newspaper from the day they were born. It's a tradition for us

I bought a Yankees (DH's favorite team) sleeper and hat for our LO, but now I think it will be too warm! I'm trying to find another one...

No special outfits here. We stick to onesies/tshirts.

Yup. DD just went home in a sleeper. Nothin' fancy. I think it just got pooped on anyway.

My mom is a mother baby nurse in a birthing center - she says the majority of her patients have elaborate outfits for going home. With dd1, we had a super cute outfit all picked out, but it ended up being way too big, so she went home in a onesie - I actually had to send dh home to get the smallest article of clothing that we had.

This time, I have a super cute outfit for dd2. I actually found it in the thrift store. I was gonna buy a new one, but hey, it's like new and awesome.

Target has some super cute newborn outfits - I think they're made by lullaby club or something.

As for diapers, I'll be putting her in the cutest nb dipe we have - custom nanipoo in kitty cat fabric.

I just remembered we're having a homebirth, so I guess it's a "staying home" outfit.
