To help prevent thrush you can give your LO infant/children probiotics instead of yogurt. The bacteria of probiotics is what is in yogurt plus extras.
We give our kiddos and ourselves probiotics daily.

Re: when can i give her yogurt?

I know what all the lists and peds (no or little nutritional background) say, but I personally would wait until after one year to introduce cow milk based yogurt. You can always offer soy based yogurt a bit earlier. With a background in nutrition I don't start introduction of solids (any food other than formula or breastmilk) until my LO is 6 months or older. Then when I do introduce it as one new food a week and I go very slow and only offer the foods as to allow my LO to taste and determine any allergies not to replace a nursing/feeding.

Personally i am not giving yogurt until DD is over a year old.
Wow peanutbutter at 3? I gave it to my DS when he was 2 as then that was the recommended age.

Re: when can i give her yogurt?

we trid soy yogurt at 10 months, and she did horriblewith it...

but then I tried UNSWEETENED full fat cows yogurt and she's been great...

Ithin it was all the sugars that gave her diareaha (sp)

now I make my own yogurt...she loves it!

GL!

I'd try a little and see how she does...the bacteria helps to digets the protien and sugars which is usually what babys are sensitive about

Re: when can i give her yogurt?

DD has been eating yogurt since about 8 months.
As one of the previous posters mentioned, blueberries are fine from 8-10 months as well. They are not common allergens as they are not related to "true" berries like raspberries and strawberries. They are closely related to cranberries which are one of the least allergenic foods. http://www.wholesomebabyfood.com/blu...oodrecipes.htm

Re: when can i give her yogurt?

We gave whole milk based, plain yogurt at 6 months and never had any problems. I would mix it with some fruits and avacado for a little extra fat most days and DS loved it.
