Diaper Swappers

Dh is working tonight... he's working two jobs till the end of this year (at least, maybe a little longer) and he and I just aren't connecting well lately. We're not "on the rocks" or anything, but I just feel like I'm really not important to him as other things. Our "love languages" are the complete opposite from each other and our personalities couldn't get more different. I just feel cranky and really lonely tonight.

Done whining.....

that happens often at our house. I try to find some intentional time, even if it is brief.

I say enjoy it! Get those kiddos to bed,pop in a movie and enjoy some alone time!

I wish I could, but I feel so guilty because I just haven't been getting much done around the house...

My DH keeps getting promotions and working later and later it seems. He did just get 2 days off, but was cranky from the kids. We finally got some cuddle time last night. I think he was feeling really bad about being so grouchy before. It showed. He forgets how emotional and crabby I can be while prego. I say if you can write him a little note and sneak it in his wallet or car once he gets home. That's what I do when there is just no time. He loves that. Or I will put little notes in his car if I drive by his work. He's a sucker for attention. Me, help around the house, chocolate, or flowers are great. Hugs mama. Try to cuddle with the kids and have a movie night. That always helps me. I threw stew in the crockpot early this am, so I don't have to cook. And we are watching a kids netflix movie and popcorn. Lame, but the kids love it. Also try to pamper yourself after the kids go to bed, like a bath and pain your nails. Make it a you night after the kids are asleep. I used to not mind it too much when DH would leave for 2 weeks at a time for store openings. It was my me time. I didn't have to make 5 course dinners and the dishes could slack and I could have me time.

I'm so sorry you feel like this....that happens with dh and i sometimes too...we just get "off" from each other, and its really frustrating sometimes but i know it will all work out eventually..we get back on "track" soon enough

mama keep in mind you just went back on your depression medication. So your emotions are all over the place from pregnancy and from pre existing conditions.

I know I have been feeling particularly sad and neglected and I know that's how I react to progesterone from BC or pregnancy.

good luck and maybe get out of the house. Staying in all the time will wear on you. take the kids to get ice cream or something or to go feed the ducks at the park

we did go outside for a bit, that was helpful.... we're a one car family so I'm house bound

thank you for reminding me about the meds and all, I really do feel all over the place... I'm starting to question my sanity these days. I sometimes I wonder if I'm manic ??

Try not to stress out about it. remember to excercise and don't sit around. I've been depressed before so I know where you are. Force yourself to get out and do stuff.
