Item not received and WAHM hasn't been online - DAY 31 now

I participated in a tester trial...paid on Aug 25th. I was told the item would ship on the 27th and nothing yet.
The last time the momma was on DS was on Sept 10...at which point, I was still giving it time to get here. But its now the 22nd and I still haven't received it. I doubt it got lost in the mail because I know another momma has the same issue. I also know that we both tried pm'ing her last week and emailing this week and still no word.
I understand something may have come up, but if she was on as late as the 10th, why not just give us a heads up that she hadn't gotten around to shipping the item?
I'm not sure what to do...

did you pay with pp? if so, I'd give it a few more days, but don't let your 45 days run out. you might also try contacting her at the e-mail where the pp was sent.

Yep, I paid by pp. I guess I'll give that email a shot. If I don't hear back, I guess I'll file because 30 days is sufficient to at least get some sort of communication. IMO.

I would go ahead and file with PP at this point since you still haven't heard anything, 31 days is a long time with no contact.

DEFINITELY file... this sounds *very* *very* similar to what I have heard from several other people about waiting on items from someone who went AWOL from DS and a few other places on or around 9/10.

I just wanted to add that I am dealing with the same thing, and I know it's the same DS member, and I filed thru paypal, but have yet to hear anything back on it. I am still hoping though.

Well honestly, I think it's human nature not to want to give negative feedback. Even if you look just on this one section alone, you'll see people saying they don't want to leave it, or people who have been frustrated for weeks, even a month or two or more but eventually get it "settled" somehow and never leave the negative (ETA: or even neutral) feedback.

I think this is ESPECIALLY true of well-known, well-liked people, because nobody wants to tangle with them--when you get trouble from someone who seems popular, you mistrust yourself, thinking you must be overreacting or misunderstanding or something, because after all, if everybody else likes them, then what's wrong with *you*? Does that make sense? (Just throwing a little psychology in here.)

So I think it's possible that a lot more people have negative experiences than you would know based on feedback alone.
