sorry, nak
We just started soilids, 1-3 ice cubes a day and OMG...can this girl poop! I'm torn as to whats the best system for pb poop. Its too sticky to wipe w/ TP ![]() Or will I be best off getting flushable liners? I'd hate to put something hard against her bum though... Please help quick...I hand-wash and go to the laundromat, so I really need to have an efficient system... Advertisement

Re: Please help - we've begun solids
You know, I go with the "anything that doesn't fall off" gets washed in the washer and it's ben fine. My son recently started solids as well, and also saves his poop up for a few days, so we have some massive, sticky, more solid poos as well. The first time, I treid to dunk and then rinse in the shower and it was the most disgusting thing EVER! So I won't do it anymore. I shake it over the toilet, whatever doesn't fall of gets washed.

Re: Please help - we've begun solids
I agree, if it doesn't dump into the toilet I don't wipe it, dunk it, or touch it in any manner whatsoever. I do a prerinse in the wash and then wash. My dipes are definately clean

I've never had a problem. DS hasn't started solids yet, but he's on formula and has some nasty poos. If it doesn't fall off the diaper, it goes in the wash. No problems.

Re: Please help - we've begun solids
Nope, the pre-wash should take care of it. I do a full wash cycle on cold with no detergent before my hot cycle and it's all washed away

Re: Please help - we've begun solids
I too have always been the type that what doesn't plop off goes to the washer.
However, a more proactive approach would be to use flushable liners during the pooping times of day. The liners are flushed if poopy and washed and reused of wet. The Imse Vimse Liners seem popular. HTH, |

The liners are a good idea but don't use them if you have septic tank.
I do like the others, shake and wash. |
