explain GDiapers to me, how do they work, what makes then great?

I looked into these months ago but left off searching more on them, tell me how they work, I understand I can put my own insert in but what are they made of and how do they hold up for leaks? It looks like it's just a pouch type area to put insert in? What makes them better than prefold snappi and cover ( that's what I use now). TIA!

I'm not sure if it's better... just different. I love how soft the cover is on the g-diaper. It also is a pretty trim fit.

This was the diapering system I thought I would fall in love with... but we fell in love with pockets instead. I am still having some issues getting the g-diapers to work for me, but I think I'm one of the few. (I also think the ones I have are too big for DD and that might be part of the problem.)

I LOVE how they Velcro around the back. It makes it harder for DS to remove his dipes.

I like them because I can use either a nb pf (in a medium g) or my fuzzibunz inserts and if ds poops, I can just snap in another liner and still use the same cover (which I think is the softest cover EVER!). It just seems like ds is wearing a t-shirt on his bum. I've never used the flushable's though, so I can't tell you anything about that.

The insert is stuffed with whatever you like (prefold flats, flushable) it snaps in to the cloth pants. When you change the baby you only need to change the stuffing unless the insert getting dirty, then all you do is unsnap the soiled one and snap in a new one. The fit on them is AWESOME, almost like underwear. They contain alot of messes and fit "regular"clothes over them very well. The cloth pants are soft and stretchy, my DS wears a large in most dipes but can still fit a medium g-dipe. DH love g-diaper because he thinks they are easier than a snappi and he likes the trim fit.

I have yet to stuff anything but the flushable liner in these, I can't imagine anything fitting or holding a messy Poo. Anywho I bought these to try at home to make sure they will work for our weekend trips this summer. The Flushable liners honestly don't hold much, but it is trim and much easier than lugging around wet dirty cloth all weekend. plus I don't feel guilt when chucking one of these in the trash. Yes, the covers are oh so soft and I find it very funny when his pants are low and you can see the G, yeah yeah he is a G Baby!! LOL
The velcro is great for when DS is running away from me I can secure the diaper as he runs. It is also a Huge plus with the waterproof liners when the poop escapes the FL onto the liner it is SOOO easy to wash it out with soap and water and off we go no mess on the go!!

Great on-the-go diapers. Because they are small, compact and FAST. They look great without shorts too! Just a T and a G. Onesies fit over them too which is nice since I have TONS of onesies and shirts that have crotch snaps.
