Re: Am I Crazy? Thinking of Selling off all Wool

I think you should keep some of it for naptimes and night! I don't blame you at all for just putting her in a fitted and t-shirt for the day, though.
Just yesterday I put DS in a fitted with PUL cover for church (the only time we don't use wool) and after 10 minutes in the car coming home he was DRENCHED in sweat. I felt so bad! This has never happened with wool. You might find that even the pockets are too warm for those quick trips out when your car doesn't have a chance to cool down first. Just some things to think about before you get rid of new fluff!

Now its June and my heater is on my house (what is with that!?) and my kids are back in wool again. They seem pretty comfy in it even when it is 70ish outside. 80, 90, 95 degrees...no way! I say keep it or you will really regret it later!
Its so hot and humid. Maybe I should hold on to them and hope this heat wave goes away soon.

But in all honesty, if you love it, keep it. I go through phases where LO wears a lot of something, and then it changes into something else. If in a few months you put wool on your LO and have major sellers remorse, that would really, really suck. I'd wait until she's fully outgrown everything before selling any of it. (Well, except the karate pants, which again, to me, I'm totally cool with putting girly stuff on my boy)
The karate pants are still too big for her when it comes to the rise. I bought them in a GN color so when we plan to have another baby he or she can get some use out of it as well

Fitteds and wool is cooler than any pocket. Trust. Touch the bum...tis quite cool. Gabi only wears soakers when we're out with a cute tee. I may throw a skirt on over it but it's pushing 100 and I love a pf and wool.

DD wool gets very little use but I like having it around for when we go out and about. A fitted and wool is cooler than a pocket so I like having some around.

I'm in WA too and last month I was scrambling trying to get summery clothes for my kids and now they're back to wearing their sweaters and jeans again. :S I'd keep them till she's outgrown then if you have the space.

I would probably keep them, even if you don't use them, until she outgrows them. That way, you can still sell them off, and you won't have any regrets because they won't fit anyway. I love wool soakers even in summer because they're so breathable. =)

No WAY would I get rid of my wool. You and I live in the same area, and my son has been wearing all wool the last week or two. It keeps him cooler than any icky PUL, that's for sure. We'll be doing fitteds and wool all summer. I'm not planning on putting a single pocket on him at all.

Does this mean your DH is now using the fitteds? I remember you posted about how he would always use pockets. Does your LO wear wool while at home or when you go out only? I'm guessing maybe I should keep the wool and only use it when we are out and about and just let her wear a fitted and shirt at home.
