Re: How far along were you when you started your NB stash?

I started at around 12 weeks I think. I couldn't help myself. I buy mostly gender neutral though so I can use it with the next and final baby. I also wanted to spread out the cost a little. I don't need overly girly diapers if I was having a girl which I'm not this time.

Re: How far along were you when you started your NB stash?

I'm 11 weeks and I've bought 8 diapers (6 were in a lot), 3 small woolybottoms and one outfit, all gn. I'm on the Mutts custom list and from the sound of things, my number should come up around the time we find out boy versus girl. So, at this point, I'm stock piling PP versus buying anything.

Honestly, with my history of miscarriages, I'd consider holding off buying stuff. But, consider this kiddo has defied ALL the odds (hormone issues, still breastfeeding a LOT, one ovary and one fallopian tube, less than 6 weeks after major abdominal surgery to remove those organs, and an IUD in place--and still in place) I've kind of decided this baby was MEANT to be. I normally do TERRIBLE during pregnancy. And, if I hadn't seen this kiddo on u/s already, I'd have convinced myself the EPT was wrong.

So, I'm figuring since I thought we were done, I'd better get ready, because this kiddo has already defied every odd against it and shows no signs of not sticking around long-term.

Re: How far along were you when you started your NB stash?

True story, I ARGUED with a relative about how cloth was a BAD idea when I was newly pregnant. Then, at about 30 weeks I wised up and I bought my stash.

Re: How far along were you when you started your NB stash?

We are going to start to TTC closer to the end of this year and I just bought some infant prefolds. Next I will buy preemies and then covers in XS and S. I am a compulsive planner and feel that DH will feel more ready to TTC if I show him that we have nothing to worry about except the doc bills!
At least I'm not the only one already buying for a baby I've only dreamed about.

Re: How far along were you when you started your NB stash?

I started buying/collecting/trading/being gifted dipes around 18 weeks and then after the big u/s I got more specific, picking up fitteds where I can or some cute smalls I see for a boy. I have a mostly gn stash because I was gifted from some online friends and I have a few boyish things and he doesn't need any more diapers now, and I just hit 23 weeks. Good thing because the crap hit the fan this week in our lives and i have no money for any more diapers or anything really unless we get unemployment or DH gets another job quick.

I was due September 4 and I started in May. I probably would have started earlier, though, but prior to then, I was on the fence about CDing.

Are you kidding? You haven't started yet?! My rational for buying OS diapers (DS is already in a large at 11 months) is that I can use them if I ever have another kid! lol!

I would get stuff like prefolds and covers. And a gender nuetral wishbox. It makes sense to have diapers that will fit both children at once. And my daughter even fit into gms at just 7lbs. I have pics to prove it. Lol.

Congrats again dear! : )

Re: How far along were you when you started your NB stash?

Thanks Trinity!

I already have a bunch of OS dipes, I hear the Mutt 3sr are really newborn friendly, so I will try to grab up some of those! I think I'm going to order my PF's next week.. I'm hoping 3 dozen will be enough? I didn't use PF's when DD was fresh out of the oven. I got them when she was around 6 weeks.
