Me too. If you aren't having AF, I would, uh... take a pregnancy test just to be sure.

my supply dips right before AF as well Hang in there and let baby nurse, your supply will be back to normal once AF starts, if that's what it is.

Re: sudden low supply ?

You can't judge supply on the fullness of your breasts. As long as she is meeting developmental milestones, growing on her curve, having enough wets/dirty dipes a day I wouldn't worry to much.

It could be AF looming, teething, AND/OR a growth spurt.

Re: sudden low supply ?

It could just be AF gearing up to return. I had irregular cycles starting when DD was about 10/11 months old until I got pregnant with #2. Any time I had a cycle, I definitely noticed a drop in my supply. I also know that teething can change the way they latch on to the breast, which can reduce your supply. I'm sure your supply will return when you are past either the hormone changes of AF or the teething pain...mine always did

Re: sudden low supply ?

My breasts never feel full anymore - so I definitely don't judge how much milk I have based on that. With both girls around 6 months my breast lost that full feeling.

For about a month off and on I've had that mildly crampy feeling like AF is going to start so I really think it will happen soon. So I think that is the culprit - I just didn't know it could affect your supply since it didn't with dd#1. Last night dd#2 seemed to be getting a bit more milk in one sitting and fussed a little less as the night went on so things are getting back to normal I think. A couple more days and hopefully she's eating enough to keep her content again.
