Re: anyone never use a bottle for their baby?

We used one rarely with Dd2, then she refused it all together at about 6 months.

The thing with bottles is that you can't just use one here and there. Dd2 forgot how to use one after we waited too long. Other babies just prefer mom after awhile. So if you do decide to use bottles, you'd have to offer one a week or so. Too much work IMO. We don't plan on using any bottles with future children if we can help it.

No bottles here either. None for the next one either.

Nope never used a bottle with my dd. I would just say go ahead and get whatever else you want and if at some point you think you need a bottle or two for this child then just get them then...that's what I would do.

Nope, we never used bottles. Well, I can't say never. Twice, other than the time when dd was in NICU and they nurses had to feed her. I had so much milk pumped from her being in NICU I gave it to my son to drink because she wouldn't drink a bottle at all. That made me never be able to go anywhere until she was much older and would be okay going a few hours without drinking breastmilk. She started taking a sippy cup when she was about 10 months old. Didn't matter then, she was already taking real food. I'd say use the store credit on something more useful.

Not crazy at all. I have 2 kids who both nursed fro 13 months, the younger is still nursing and never used bottles for either. It was great no washing, finding space for them I loved it. The downside is that if you have to miss a feeding, Like I did when i had to have emergency surgery to remove and ectopic pregnancy my poor little guy had no milk for almost 48 hours.

No bottles here either, but I do have 2 small Medela pumps. I have the Harmony manual pump (given to me at the hospital) and the Medela Swing. I kept them both for that just in case scenario, but DS never took a bottle. I used them the most when introducing solids (or should I say attempting the way DS is lol). I like using EBM to mix in with his solids even though hes still nursing.
