Baby food making class
Hi! I'm having a baby food making "class" at my house this weekend. I was wanting to put together a list of tips. Any tips you mamas would like to share? I have no idea how I am going to do this...does anyone have any cool ideas on how to put a very informative class together? I was thinking I would have a little bit of several different veggies and fruits. I have a steamer/foodmill/blender. I have tons of stuff from wholesomebabyfood.com which is how I make my food, but my DD has only just started solids so we only do purees right now.

Re: Baby food making class
See if your library has "Super baby food" by Ruth Yaron. It has TONS of recipes, tips, etc. It has been our go-to guide for both kids, and I made all their baby food. She also has a website with some charts that you can download...i.e. which foods to introduce when. I photocopied it and put it on our fridge. Once a food was intro'd and ok, I'd mark it so all caregivers knew what they could eat. I recommend the book to everyone

Re: Baby food making class
I really like "The Petite Appetit Cookbook." It has some puree recipes and then goes into food for older babies.
Ice cube trays for freezing are good. And lots and lots of plastic containers to put the ice cube food in once they're frozen. Masking tape for labeling the containers because mango and acorn squash look a lot alike.
