It's all gone:(

My 2-year-old messed with the thermostat on the deep freeze this weekend and we lost everything. Including all my frozen stash. I'm so sad Simon doesn't take bottles very well and it may have gone to waste anyway but still. I liked the thought of having it "just in case" I'm not available to nurse for whatever reason.

Oh what a bummer! Do you have any reason to believe our own supply is diminishing though?

Oh, mama. I feel your pain. I know how sad it is to lose any of that precious milk.

So sorry! I would definitely be sad. It's like a priceless asset and something I never want to waste.

I can't speak for the OP but I know that I like to have a bit of a frozen stash "just in case" something were to happen to me and I'd be unavailable--my mind likes to jump to car accident, appendectomy, etc. I'd have the peace of mind of knowing that baby would be able to continue to have EBM and not require formula.

That's exactly my reasoning. Now I need to try to build another stash and I can't seem to get anything using my electric pump*scratches head*

Re: It's all gone:(

Oh Laurie I am sorry. DS never accepted a bottle so I never botheres with a stash. Whatever I had extra I gave to a friend who couldn't breastfeed...

When I did pump though it never seemed very productive in the afternoon. Maybe you'll have more luck in the morning?
