Won't nurse for comfort, to sleep?

My little guy has to nurse to sleep but will not nurse when he needs comforting. If I even attempt to comfort nurse him, he screams bloody murder. I kind of wish it were reversed.

I was thinking my little guy was abnormal since he doesn't like to nurse for comfort and only SOMETIMES will he nurse to sleep...it does make it nice sometimes but it's nice to have a sure fire way to comfort them when they need it too.

Yup, my first was like that. And to this day, he still doesn't want much from us in the way of comforting (e.g. if he hurts himself). Nursing was only about food for him. Now my second....well, that's another story completely, LOL!
