When am I going to snap out of it?

As if I don't have a hard enough time keeping up with my milk.....I was trying to figure out why the diaper bag smelled funky and I found a bag with 7 oz of liquid gold in the side pocket! Why? Why? I can not seem to get a supply built up and I am pumping day to day, no matter what I try and to lose a whole feeding feels so devestating!

Ok, just had to whine a little because some people don't realize just how hard we have to work for that milk!

hmmmm.... not sure why I chose this title. I must be tired....

I have the same issue. Someone suggested a different breast shield size and that has really helped my milk production. I used to only pump 2-4 oz per session. Now I pump 4-6 oz per session. Also stress and lack of sleep will decrease your milk. You're a good mom. Get some well deserved rest. Good luck.

DH and I almost got divorced over a bottle of bm he left in the diaper bag. It's heartbreaking!

I do have larger sheilds, I did have this problem at first.

I would say lack of sleep and stress are doing me in.....trying to work on it

Thanks for sharing mamas. Sometimes I think the stress over how much milk I have to pump causes me problems too, so I try not to think about it.

Re: When am I going to snap out of it?

Have you tried some herbs? I'm so dang tired and having the same trouble but found that by drinking breastfeeding mothers tea (Yogi Tea) or Lactation Support herbs work great. This along with keeping a glass of water in every room. I can't find the bottle of lactation support herbs right now but there are a few brands out there. I've used a few. Hope this helps.

BTW- The other mama above was right. Stress doesn't help. Try to relax...and know that you are the mom your little angel chose. Everything you are doing is the best you can do and ok. Warmly, B.

*hugs* I'd probably cry about that. I remeber those days, and that breastmilk was like liquid gold... only more valuable.
