Re: THE OFFICIAL EXERCISE ACCOUNTABILITY THREAD Week of June 23

Monday: 1:15 of salsa class with DH, plus cool-down time afterwards. Total of 6200 steps for the day.

Tuesday: Exercise study day. 5 minute warm-up (floor aerobics), 15 minutes treadmill (3 mph, 1% followed by 2% grade), 10 minutes aerobics, 5 minutes stretching and cool-down. Had a 2 mile hike after dinner with DH to watch the sunset. Total steps: 8592.

Wednesday: Not too active. Evening walk with hubby, 1.5 miles through the neighborhood (mild hills). Planning on burning off a few more calories with his help later... Total steps: 4508.

Thursday: Exercise study day. Treadmill 15 minutes (5 min. warm up), stationary bike 10 minutes, low-impact aerobics (some with bands) 10 minutes, 5 minutes stretching/cool down. Rained, so no evening walk with DH. Total steps: 5046.

Friday: Walked a mile with my friend Rachel, who is recovering from having her baby 3.5 weeks ago (our first post-baby walk together--she was my preggo walking buddy). Evening walk with DH (1.5 mi.). Totall steps: 6316

Saturday: Took it easy--had a scrape on my heel that is bugged by all my shoes that I needed to give a break. Total steps: 2283.

Sunday: Foot is better! Evening walk with hubby (1.5 mi) and work around the house. Total steps: 4549.

--I'll come back to edit this daily.

Re: THE OFFICIAL EXERCISE ACCOUNTABILITY THREAD Week of June 23

Ok, so I'm starting light. And I still can't find my darn pedometer, although I haven't looked too hard.
I'm adding in my daily weigh-ins - I weigh myself after I'm done w/ my workout on the scale @ the gym, which isn't as forgiving as mine @ home. But I'm happy! YMCA & their Daycare

Monday: 30 minute walk outside w/ DH, while DD was on my back
Tuesday: 25 minutes of treadmill & 15 minutes on elliptical 197.3
Wednesday: 30 minutes of treadmill & 15 minutes on elliptical & strength training 196
Thursday:30 minutes of treadmill (inclined) & 15 minutes on elliptical & strength training 194.4
Friday:25 minutes on elliptical, Strength Training, & 18 minutes on Treadmill 194.6
Saturday: 30 minutes on the treadmill (inclined) & 15 minutes on elliptical & a lil lifting 193.8

Re: THE OFFICIAL EXERCISE ACCOUNTABILITY THREAD Week of June 23

Don't worry about light--when I started I could only manage 20 minute walks. That was in late September! What matters is that you've STARTED. Do you want to get a pedometer and start tracking steps too?

Steps per mile depends on your stride. A lot of them you can calculate into the ped - they come with directions.

Re: THE OFFICIAL EXERCISE ACCOUNTABILITY THREAD Week of June 23

monday: sat on my backside
tuesday: 1 hr yoga
wednesday: 1 hr yoga
thursday: walk pushing a stoller and carrying my 15lb baby on my back and 1 hr of pilates (though it was a video and I really am not overly happy with that particular one). I may just chill for Friday. The kids have been ill and I'm a little worn out.

Re: THE OFFICIAL EXERCISE ACCOUNTABILITY THREAD Week of June 23

Just a progress note: the flab between my thighs has been shrinking away... And DH made a point of how "sleek" I looked the other night. I'm also feeling more flexible. WOO HOO! I'm pregnant and I feel sexy!
