Re: Meals I can freeze -- Need ideas

here are my freezer staples:
-any chicken that I can just defrost and pop in the oven. Aka I put 4 chicken breasts in a ziplock bag with whatever marinade I like
-tuna noodle casserole
-pizza casserole
-lasanga
-stuffed shells
I love kraftfood.com they have all sorts of fun recipes. Lots of funky ingredients and combinations, but it turns out AWESOME! I litterally freeze anything and everything.

I love to cook and freeze...it's also a great way to make sure your family is eating healthy!! Less ordering take-out!

Here is my list:

Chilli
Pasta Sauce, (Then all I have to do is boil up the pasta)
Chicken Soup
Beef Stew
Pancakes ( I mill my own wheat so I bake in bulk)
Assorted Flavored Muffins (same reason as above)
Baked Ziti / Lasagna
Home Made Butter (Don't ask )

I"m sure I have more, but i've forgotten...darn these hormones!!

Thanks ladies. And for those of you that need ideas I did a search for OAMC (once a month cooking) and came up with tons of sites. I am looking threw them to see if there is anything that my family will eat.

Here are some ideas:
chicken pot pie.
salmon pie.
vegetable and tofu soup.
vegetable and black bean soup.
any kind of soup!!
quiche (crust, filling of cheese, any vegetable, ham or other meat, eggs and some milk. cook in the oven, freeze, re-heat).
variations over the noodle casserole theme (chicken-brocoli; ham-asparagus; shrimp-green peas).
ratatouille with chick peas (you can served with pasta or hard boiled eggs).
vegeterian (or not) curry.

Re: Meals I can freeze -- Need ideas

this is great in the freezer its from texas.. chicken spagetti.
this is for a big batch we made it for 7 kids allt he time!
boil chicken breast in chicken broth till there done.
cook the spag noodles whole box and then in a bowl take a large can of cream of chickena dn cream of mushroom soup. a can of rotel tomatoes mild and reg. and half a block of velveta. melt it continuously in the microwave it might take a good 10 or 15 min. you dont want to just melt the cheese cause it could burn
also add 4 oz of chicken broth to the mix
we also add mushrooms too.
once its all melted then add the noodles and sorry missed this but chop up the chicken once its cooked and set for a few min.

we always have this with texas toast its great reheated as well

Re: Meals I can freeze -- Need ideas

"Don't Panic Dinner's in the Freezer" book helped me when I was starting out, but some of their recipes are alittle wild for my family. And to the OP I know you said don't ask , but you really make butter??
