ishy frozen food :(

Whenever I freeze something, it tastes like "freezer." What am I doing wrong??

Double baggie with freezer bags Not a very green solution, but this helps for me.... (I don't freeze things often! )

are you covering it or closing it up? b/c if you have air to it at all - that will happen. try a better locked container or the double bags is a good idea.

also, if your freezer is super full of old food, it may be time for a clean out. and a box of baking soda.

Maybe it's the air, along with the old food. I tried freezing my wedding cake. I even put it in about 5 freezer bags (but didn't get all the air out...), and it STILL tasted like freezer. This was a year later, but still, FIVE bags??

I've tried baking soda too. I probably have old stuff in there. I just hate throwing stuff out if there's "nothing wrong with it."
