oxytocin!! I had problems in the beginning with both mine but still love the way it makes me feel. one of my friends could always tell by my tone of voice when I was nursing ds #1

My first 3 it was excruciating. This time around, it's been the best experience....I am just content with life when I nurse. And he's 5 months old! I love it and hope it lasts a couple more years.

DS is almost 11 months and I still have that feeling. I've told many doctors here (we pretty much live in the hospital...home only 3 days out of almost 60) that bf'ing is the only reason they haven't had to sedate me

For the first 6 months I would feel completely relaxed and sleepy with letdowns. It was so nice, we would nurse lying down and sleep/cuddle together. Although I dont feel that rush of hormones anymore, just sometimes I feel a bit sleepy. It is still relaxes me in a way just to see ds nurse and look so peaceful

For the 1st month or so of bfing V there were times I remember feeling soooo relaxed and sleepy. The only thing I can think of to compare it to is that awesome feeling I would get back in the day at school when I fell asleep in class (trig always did it!)...you know, you get all warm and fuzzy and you just can't keep your eyes open even one second longer....Zzzzzzzzzzz

Yep bfing makes me completely zone out... so much so that I stare off and can't pay attention to anything around me. It's really nice!

You're not alone! I love BFing. It forces me to sit down several times per day and just snuggle with the baby and take a break. It's very relaxing for me and I enjoy it so much.

I was like this. Besides the 30 seconds of hurting when they first latched on, I had no discomfort bfing. I loved it from the get go. And yes, I would always get sleeping. Still do at almost 6 months.

I had absolutely no problems with either of mine.
