Freezing Tortilla Shells

Have any of you tried it? Can it be successfully done? Do you have any storage tips? Thanks!

Re: Freezing Tortilla Shells

I had found a recipe for fajitas ways back , where you seaseoned you meat and cooked it , put it in a ziploc , then put your peppers and onions in another , then your cheese ( I was worried about that) and then the tortillas in a ziploc also . Then put all that in a bigger ziploc . It was great , the tortillas were fine once defrosted and so was the cheese . That was a super fast meal when you're in a hurry . I know that 's more info than ask but thought I'd share .

Re: Freezing Tortilla Shells

I freeze tortilla shells all the time. I just put the whole bag in the freezer, and take out what I need to thaw about an hour before using.

Re: Freezing Tortilla Shells

I suggest placing waxed paper between each tortilla then you can only remove what you need from the freezer. They don't stick together!
