I eat everything and the only thing that seems to bother dd is broccoli which makes her a little gassy. (I should add that I am vegan, though, so I don't eat dairy at all either)

I think it depends on the child - With my first two I had to stay away from pizza or any tomato sauce, DD#3 I could not have any kind of coffee decaf or not... She got over that

For the most part foods are no big deal. Proteins by design pass undigested into the blood stream, thus breast milk, so some babies have problems with milk/soy/eggs. Most of the stuff people blame food on is just normal baby fussiness.
