Diaper Swappers

My LO is almost 6 months old and for about a month now, I've been sporadically giving him solids. He was eating them everyday, sometimes twice, but the other day I just didn't think about it and nursed him that day. He didn't seem bothered, but I wonder if now that I've started, do I need to do it every day or is it okay to skip it? I mean, he seems happy just to nurse all day, didn't seem affected by not having solids. And yesterday he only had them once. Thoughts?

when i started my dd on solids i didnt do them everyday. IMO just follow him. he'll let you know if he needs/wants it. like i can tell a HUGE difference if i skip a normal solid meal with abby --- it's not pretty! just follow him!

I agree with pp just follow the baby's lead. I give my 9 month old solids 1x/day. sometimes 2 if he seems hungry and starts trying to ask the kids or myself for food when we're eating.

It makes me wonder too - I am not pushing it w/ my LO and now she seems to enjoy it more- a week ago it was a dread, for me and her so I let off.

Everyone says right now, solids are about learning - not really to "eat" or nutrition - so I figure if I skip a day - no biggie.
