Storing Tahini

Does anyone know how to store tahini? Should it go in the pantry like peanut butter or should it be stored in the fridge? How long does it last after you open up a can? I can't find any instructions on the can.

Re: Storing Tahini

Refrigerate it like you would natural peanut butter. It separates and can get gross. HTH!

Re: Storing Tahini

I store it in the fridge. I opened mine, used, then didn't use again for a couple months (maybe 2?). The next time I used it (to make a dressing), it was TERRIBLY bitter. That's even with storing it in the fridge. I assume it just doesn't keep all that long once opened. Someone correct me if I'm wrong though.
