If you'd like just 5 minutes for a shower...please raise your hand!!!

me me me!! pick me!!!

Okay, it's going to be trickier than I thought trying to find 5 minutes for myself to shower, and possible eat!

Between my 2 week old and 1 1/2 year old...there is even littlier time now!!
Aaron, the baby, just doesn't like to be put down at all...and I wear him most of the time no problem, but there are times that it's a bit to hard too...I'm thinking of getting a swing for those times but scared he'll hate it...you just never know about such things!

How do you mamas with 2 or more do it??????? You're my heros!!!!

cribs and gates are great for this purpose! I just put my 5 YO and my 17 month old in my DS's room, put a gate up and took a shower! WooHoo!

David [older DS] is great about this...living room is fully baby proofed and gated so I can pop in a Veggie Tale and have 5 or 10 minutes...the baby is a different story right now!

Hmmm. I have a 2 yo and an 8 mo and the only way I get 5 minutes for a shower is if DH is home! It's crazy around here sometimes

I've known mamas who got a swim sling (usually a pouch style) to hold baby in the shower or bath. GL mama

They play in the bathroom or they shower with me, especially DD. If DH is home then I sometimes can manage to get a shower alone !

Re: If you'd like just 5 minutes for a shower...please raise your hand!!!

I kwym. Sometimes it's a week before I get a chance to take a shower Luckily it's only been 2 days so far this week. I can take baths with my girls (3 yo and 10 mo) but then they are the only ones that get washed. I still have to hold my 10 mo in the bath so it's not like I can wash myself or my hair And my 10 mo is very mommy clingy. But so is DH. If he's home he'd rather we take a shower together but by the time I get the girls to sleep he's ready to sleep and he'd rather sleep than shower. I'd rather eat than shower since I'm pg right now so that's what I usually do in the few precious moments when both girls are sleeping. I used to put my 10 mo in the bouncy seat in the bathroom with me when dh and I took a shower and DD was playing in her room with the baby gate up, but my chunker is too big for the bouncy seat now so I just take a shower when I can get it and wear dh's deodorant when I can't Considering we have another on the way, I'm seeing our life continuing like this for a while yet. . .

I can't remember the last time I showered without my kids

When my oldest was little I used to put her in a bouncy seat in the bathroom and shower with the curtain open so she still could see me.

We have a seperate shower area that connects to the bathroom where the sinks are and they play in that area since it is a larger space.

Do not be fooled, they think the bathroom is fascinating which explains their willingness to play and cooperate while I squeeze a shower in.

Re: If you'd like just 5 minutes for a shower...please raise your hand!!!

I just took a shower, even if it meant that the baby cried for 5 minutes. I don't function well if I feel dirty. I would usually skip the conditioner and just get in, scrub real quick, and get out. Sometimes it took me a few minutes to actually get dressed, but I at least got a shower.
