curly hair on baby

DH and I were hoping DS would have curly hair, but it didn't look like he got it. But I noticed that lately it is starting to get a little curly in the back. Is it just the humidity, or is it possible that the hair had to get long before the curls showed?

Could be both. We didn't notice that our DS had curly hair until it got longer at around 5 months of age. But I have noticed that when he gets sweaty or in humid weather it gets extremely curly! It's so cute! We love it.

Both of my girls have curly hair and it didn't start to show until they were around 6 months old. It took a while for it to get long enough to curl I guess.

Amelie's hair I think is gonna be curly because now that its getting longer, its starting to curl in the back.. DH's hair does that though when it gets longer.

yay! He is 8 months so maybe he'll have curly hair. It would make that silly cowlick in the front easier to deal with.

I think the hair they have when they are born often has nothing to do with the hair they'll have when they get older. DD's hair was thin, black and straight when she was born. Then it all fell out. It is now thin, ash blond and starting to have some curl to it.

My twins both had very straight hair until thet were about 10 months old. We had had many hair cuts already, but around age one their got wavy and has coninued to get more curly since then. We were at a lake this week and some other little boy yelled "hey, look at those little boys affro's". So it could still get curly.
