Re: Green & Thrifty...Making Your Own Detergent!

I've made it through the entire thread!!
I have been using the CD recipie for all my wash- FC, Dipes and clothes, and everything comes out great Of course I purchased the regular Oxy- I was excited to find it on Costco- but baby boys bum has been ok, so I think I'll just finish it.
I had been using Dr.Bronners Sal Suds on my CD, and that was working fine, but really expensive!
Has anyone tried it in the liquid recipe, or only the DrB castilles?

I've been using this off and on for 2 years now (with twins, even) and can say that my elastic and PUL are still in great condition.

Is there a way to keep the powder detergent from lingering in the air when used?

Whenever I open our container and put a scoop of powder in the washer it lingers in the air (sort of like baby powder) and I have to hold my breath so not to inhale it in.

None of my other detergents are like this (store bought or WAHM-made using the same ingredients).
