What do you think about this carseat?
http://www.kmart.com/shc/s/p_10151_1...nd&sbv=Evenflo
We put this one on layaway because it seems like a nice seat but wanted to get toher opinions before we purchase!

Re: What do you think about this carseat?
we have that one but it's the "dlx" i'm not sure what the difference is but we like it. the fabric makes it so that ds never gets over heated. it was simple too instal properly and i love that you never have too move the straps up a notch. the only thing i don't like is the LATCH strap is not very long and it's hard too get a good grip on when installing it.

Re: What do you think about this carseat?
It's a great seat, really. It's becoming a common choice for price and versatility for budget-friendly high(er) weight harnessing seat. I don't think you'd be disappointed.

Re: What do you think about this carseat?
I wouldn't get it. I've played with the Infinite Slide at the store and it doesn't feel too sturdy. The Boulevard locks better.
Looking at Evenflo's track record with their seats, I wouldn't get it. Discovery - recalled because the shell could break away from the base in a crash. Also recall for some seats not being completely put together, and under certain conditions could have the shell break away from the base. Embrace - handle put together wrong and wouldn't lock, causing the seat to over-rotate and child fall out during carry mode. On My Way - failed to recall, kept seat on the market knowing it would break apart in a crash over 30mph (the minimum test they had to report). Settled lawsuit not too long ago brought against them by family whose son died from this when the family proved the company knew and had done tests of their own showing the problems. Tribute - shell cracks in certain crashes. Triumph - slide loop connectors not strong enough to restrain child in a crash. (and they now have a Triumph model they say can restrain a child up to 50lbs? EEK!) The fact that they hide information and refuse to correct it two years after knowing that a seat is dangerous makes them an untrustworthy company. I'm fairly cynical when I see one of their seats now, saying it's just a matter of time before they discover this one can kill a kid, too.
