Uh, I would let him have it if my DH ever acted like that, seriously.

Re: Do you let your DH "babysit"?
He's really hard to talk to. He gets instantly defensive and thinks that I'm picking on him so then he's mad and doesn't listen anyway. *sigh*

Re: Do you let your DH "babysit"?
I'm probably going to get flamed here, but NO, I do not let my dh babysit unless I'm in the next room. Not that I haven't tried to let him watch them. When my 2 dd was 18 monthes old, I left her with him while 1st dd and I went to the dentist. We came back to find him mowing the lawn with her on the riding lawn mower with him. It warns in bright red letters on the mower not to ride with children on the mower while mowing! Once I let him take oldest dd to his parents, the one thing I asked was that they not take her on the 4-wheeler, that was exactly what they did anyway. The next time I tried, dd's were 2 and 4. I took the baby with me to the grocery store for 1/2 hr. When I came back, I found dh asleep and dd's running around by themselves. Just last night, I asked him to watch ds while I ran a few baskets of laundry upstairs. Well he didn't watch him good enough, and I found him almost all the way up the stairs by himself! The kids would rather stay with me anyway, because he yells at them so much.

, born 4/22/07

And I was the one who wanted to have a baby...I get that a lot.

and Iona
But I do leave them with him and (usually) don't worry when I do.

. I can't imagine feeling as if leaving my daughter with my husband would be like leaving her with a babysitter. Like the PP said, my daughter is not MY child, but she is OUR child. He knows how to take care of my daughter. In fact, he is great with her and does some things better than I do.
