Ok, I've never made a quilt before and for some reason I've decided to make one on top of everything else I'm doing. In preparation for this baby I came across our tub of preemie clothes from our first son who passed away. I've been hanging on to those clothes for six years because I couldn't bear to part with them. Anyway, I thought it would be a wonderful thing to cut blocks out of the clothes and make a quilt, that way I would be able to see his clothes all the time and cuddle under them on rough days.
Anyway, so I've cut and sewed all the blocks together and the thing turned out to be pretty big, about 50" x 50". Now what? I'm figuring I'll need to get some batting and a piece of cloth for the backing, but how do I put it all together? Any tips or links you know of?

Re: quilt

What a wonderful idea.

I did a quick search and found this tutorial for machine quilting:

It looks like a good one. That's pretty much how I do it. Good luck!
