That's what mine did.

Thanks! I am hoping he will be at least interested in trying. If he is, we'll see what happens. If not, I will probably try to pump some for him anyhow to drink from a cup. It would be easier, I think, if he could pick it up again tho.

I'm mostly sad for him right now because he seems so frustrated by it. It's always been very important to him. He wouldn't have weaned yet by choice. Not by a long shot. Poor kiddo.

Re: After 1yr when did you stop?

OK- I got distracted and off track- what I meant to say is that I have not stopped nursing my ds yet and he is 17 mos. I have no idea when we will stop. He only nurses before bed and upon waking since I work full time now. But he sure does like his milky- or as he calls it "geesh" (I think he spoke yiddish in a past life or something!- LOL).

I will probably stop around 2 if he doesn't decide to stop on his own or stop because of pregnancy and no milk. Although I can't imagine just cutting him off because he turns two. Kind of a crappy birthday gift- eh? We'll see.

can answer, i have a 19 and amost .5 month old, and hes still going pretty strong, still night nursing sometimes (hes been like that since day 1 though, som nights sleep sleeps straight through and some nights is asleep but nursing once or twice)
he gets his breakfast when he wakers up, and gets some randomly through the day too, and m not pregnant, so thats not a factor in it either lol

I pumped for my 2 y/o all the time after dd#2 was born. She didn't like the taste by that point though so I saved it for when she was sick and mixed it with ovaltine.

Re: After 1yr when did you stop?

I weaned our oldest at 21 months because I was 4 months pregnant with our second child and having a hard time gaining weight. He wasn't too thrilled about it but if mama aint healthy, baby aint healthy.

Re: After 1yr when did you stop?

I voted 13-16 months~ My ODD was about 16 months when she self weaned.

YDD is 9.5 months and I will nurse her as long as it is mutually enjoyable, I have no plans to stop anytime soon .

Re: After 1yr when did you stop?

I voted 17-24 months even though dd hasn't completely weaned yet. She is 22 months and a little over a week ago dropped her nap time nursing on her own. So now she only nurses at bedtime. I'm pretty sure she'll wean off that one before she's 2 because I'm quickly drying up - she only nurses maybe 2 minutes the last 3-4 nights and is getting frustrated with the lack of milk the last couple of nights.
