Great thread! I'm still learning the ropes. I love a great bargain and especially getting stuff for free.

Are the coupons for $3/15 and $4/20 random or is there a secret getting them? I usually get the $2/10 cvs brand coupon.

As far as I know they're pretty random. I've never got one from a kiosk but others have. I get mine via email from cvs (but those are rare too). Just gotta keep your eyes peeled

OK, 'nother question. I was just looking at my CVS flyer, and I am confused. Do you earn ECB everytime you shop, or do you only get ECB when you buy something labeled as for earnin ECB? Like the J&J buy $20, u get $10 ECB, but if I was just just buy batteries, would I still get ECB?

Yes and no..

You earn ECB's on every purchase you make but not all of them are instant. Theones that are advertised are instant, as soon as you complete the required purchases.

The items that don't show ECB deals still earn you ECB's though. Here's how..

CVS gives you 2% of everything you spend. Every 3 months I believe, and ECB will print with the amount you've earned that quarter. So yes, you DO earn ecb's on any purchase, but only the ones advertised are the ones that print right away.

Does that make sense?

Yes, very much! TY, I think I get it now. It's kind of cash back, except for the extra care buck advertised, like the spend $20 on the J&J products and get $10 in ECB, (advertised specials) then you get "instant" ECB? Ok, I just wasn't sure if it would be worth it, but I just realized I have one of the $20/off the glucose meter, which I will be going to get on Wednesday. I will let you know how it turns out!

Actually, YMMV means Your Manager May Vary....meaning you manager may or may not let you do it.

Right. The advertised ECB's are instant. As soon as you complete the required purchases your ECB's will print at the bottom of your recipt.

When you combine coupons with sales (and the $/$$ if you have them) you REALLY pay like nothing while still earning cvs money..aka ECB's.
