Re: How to be a CVS'er

the thread is too long for me to read the whole thing, so I apologize if this was already answered somewhere:
can I use the manufacturer's coupons that print on my grocery register receipt at CVS, or only at the grocery store?

Re: How to be a CVS'er

Ok, im new at this, iv done 2 transactions, but both were NOWHERE near as good as most of yall! On the last receipt i got it says at the bottom:
Extra Care Card balances as of 01/13
WINTER 2009 SPENDING: ........... $20.17

What does that mean? I know iv spent more than that cuz my last transaction *shock* was $24! and im prettty sure i havent earned that much in ECBs. Anyone know what that means, i asked the sales girl and she was clueless and said her manager was on break but she could explain it to me, but i had to get home to the baby and didnt have time to wait around. I anyone could explain to me what this is, it would be GREATLY appreciated!!!

Thanks! And thanks for this awesome tutorial

Wow. Thanks for taking the time to write all this out! Now, once I get this all figured out, I need to find some actual free online coupons instead of the sign up for this (insert deal) and get these free coupons, LOL.

Re: How to be a CVS'er

I must just be totally dense. I just went with $25 worth of coupons and bought what I thought would get me another $40 (at least) in ECB. I spent $63 after coupons and only got $5 in ecb's. I think what I did wrong though was buy everything at once? Am I supposed to split up my purchases? Just as an example, today I bought several Colgate items, the ad said $5 ECB for $15 of Colgate products. Will I bought $47 worth and most of the items said $2 ECB's with purchase. So can someone please explain to me what I did wrong? I am going to read the original post AGAIN and see what I am missing after the kids are in bed, though. TIA

Re: How to be a CVS'er

You should get any ECBs that you have met the requirements for, on that receipt. Make sure you are getting the right products (right size, right variety, etc - I got a Fusion razor that wasn't a Gamer and didn't get any ECBs, for example). Read the flyers carefully. Being just a few pennies short of the required purchase amount also will not qualify. If you post more detailed info, maybe you can get more specific feedback.

Re: How to be a CVS'er

Ok......I get how it works but I do have a couple of questions.......

Where do you guys get all of your coupons?? Do you buy them off like e-Bay??
Where do I find the monthly extra value book??

What's the easiest(cheapest) way to get started??? We are on a super tight budget for 5 people and we're not making the cut-off at all!!! So we're drowning!!
Any tips/tricks would be greatly appreciated!! Feel free to PM me too!
