Re: Your 17months old (or about) and you say......
Yall are lucky they are talking ! DS grunted until he was 2. He would say something when he thought you werent listening to him and then when he realized you were right there he would get mad and never say it again.
He saud "UH UH UH" and point until he got what he wanted. We tried bribing, tried "dont get anything until you SAY it"... HA he just looked at ya like "Your crazy, right ?" He finally started talking a little after his 2nd bday and now.... he doesnt stop. He can even say Anchovie !!

Re: Your 17months old (or about) and you say......
I have a 12 month old that can say
Dan Doo (thank you) Uh Oh! Goggie (doggie) At 17 months my daughter could clearly say "mine" "Iwantsome" "Shoe" "Fer Fer Fer" (Christopher) and "more" Fa-Fa (Pacifier) "inekid" (I'm naked) I know there were more, but it has been many years, and she hasn't shut up yet. |

Re: Your 17months old (or about) and you say......
I never had any early talkers...my 16 month old(in 2 days) can only say Mom and dad and Anya..she calls all my kids that..lol..lucky Anya..everything else she wants she just points and does a caveman grunt..it is very effective, lol.

Re: Your 17months old (or about) and you say......
Well my ds said next to nothing at that age (mama, dada, & gak - which meant "what's that"). Claire, on the other hand (16 mos) says:
Mama Dada Hi uh-oh bye-bye night-night more (specifically regarding food) ball baby book bump nana (banana) out (as in get me out of my carseat!) ear mow (mouth) Ga-Ga (Gavin) Yea We were amazed (after a slow talker first, who now won't shut up, LOL!) when she started saying things around 14 mos!
