What time is bedtime?

What time do you put your children to bed and what are their ages? I have a 4, 2.5 and 1 yr old. My older two are in bed by 7pm most nights sometimes earlier depending on if they had a nap. They usually go right to sleep and don't wake till 6:30-7am. I've had talks with out parents in the area and they say I'm putting my boys to bed too early but I don't think so as anytime after 7 and they are cranky in the morning. My one year old doesn't really have a bedtime but usually goes to bed about the same time. Just wondering what everyone else does.

Re: What time is bedtime?

Well, my DH works nights so we're not morning people around here and none of us have to wake up that early in the morning. So Bram usually goes bed at around 10 (sometimes later) but if he missed his afternoon nap it could be as early at 8. He'll usually sleep to around 10am regardless.

That's how it works around here, but DH works the day shift. lol Miranda's in bed at 9:30.

I think 7pm is early, but that's also because miranda isn't in bed until at 9 the earliest. lol but If it works for you, that's great!

Re: What time is bedtime?

My boys are 8 and 6 years. They go to bed at 9pm. anything earlier then that and they are up at 4-5am and they do not go to school until 8:45am. If they wake up that early by the time they go to school.. they are already tired and getting cranky. They go down at 9pm and wake up at 7-7:30am and everyone is happy. My baby girl is almost 8 months and she goes down around 10pm and sleeps until around 7am.

We are not on a set routine and we do not have a strict schedule but we do try to get the kids to bed at a decent time.

My kids are 6, 4, 2, and 5 months and they all go to bed between 8 and 8:30. My 6 yr old gets up at 6:30 for school and the rest sleep till about 7:30-8:30 in the morning and go back down for a nap from 1-3:30ish. The baby usually naps more through out the day!

my 1 1/2 yr old goes to bed at 9pm, my 2 1/2 goes to bed at 9:30pm. they share a room until we can get rooms rearranged. if they go to bed at the same time they will be up for 1-2hrs playing. They get up anywhere from 7:30-9am. and my 8 wk old goes to bed around 9-10. gets up for a snack around midnight and sleeps until about 6am
