EBF poop question

DD2 is EBF (won't even take a bottle of expressed breast milk for anything), and about half the time her poo is bright green. It's supposed to be yellow, right? Maybe it's something I'm eating? She's otherwise perfectly healthy and happy, so I'm not worried, just perplexed. Anybody know what's going on?

It's gotta be what your eating. DS is EBF too & I notice when I have different meals (I'm veggie) his poo's will reflect different hues of green lol.

Re: EBF poop question

could be what your eating

it could also be too much foremilk

if baby is gaining well I wouldn't worry about it (your body will adjust and it will go away)
other ideas on too much foremilk:
let baby completely finish on side one before switching (or only feed on one breast per feeding)
don't time your feedings

can't think of any more off the top of my head... I'll see if I can find any info, I think kellymom.com has some

Re: EBF poop question

If the poop is just green, it most likely is just something in your diet. If it is green and foamy, that is a better indicator that baby is not getting enough hind milk. I agree with the PP who said to look at kellymom.com. Tons of great info there.

I will have a look, thanks. I didn't think what I eat could have that much effect on her, my milk is always the same color! But that must be it, she is the image of health, just DD1 never had green poo until we started solids, so I did wonder.
