So... how do the ladies gymnasts do it?

Keep their leotards covering everything on the bottom half? I'd be terrified with those narrow bottoms and no tights on (like dance and ice skating) that I'd do fifteen flips in a row and wind up with a cheek hanging out!

Seriously, what is the secret? Do they glue them on?

Not sure. But I wouldn't be suprised if it was some kind of tape that models use to hold their breasts in when they're not wearing a bra. Anyone know for sure?

I always wonder about pubic hair. Those leotards are cutting it close and I can't imagine a 13-14 year old getting waxed, but I never notice any razor burn...its a mystery!

Surely we have some former gymnasts among us to answer these burning questions !

It is tape....

and yes, I am almost 100% sure they are waxed.

I was a gymnast many years ago. We used tape and most of the girls waxed starting at about 13.

ETA: Some use a spray (like super hold hairspray) others use clear double sided tape.

former competitive gymnast here - either spray adhesive or double stick tape (like boobie tape LOL) on the bum.. I wouldn't know about the pubes - I didn't hit puberty til after I stopped gymnastics - it keeps your metabolism/body fat so low that hitting puberty late is really common. Perhaps a lot of them have little to none?

I figured as much.

There is a pic of Shawn Johnson in the latest edition of People mag, and the sides of her outfit are so high cut...I thought it was quite revealing, and rather uncomfy looking.

WSS!! (All of the above). The extreme workouts tend to hold off puberty! They live in the leos all day, so they are used to it!
