It looks like just one to me. Feet to the left & head to the right. I rented a doppler when I was pg with Sofia & I could get a HB up high (hers) & one down low that was actually a major artery & sounded as fast as a HB. So I checked the same spot on my kids & heard the same thing. I would think thats what you are finding for the lower #.

yes they are identical.

We didnt find the second baby until our second ultrasound at 19.5 weeks!

Robin - She does have a doppler that measures the heartrate for her, though, so it's not potential human error in counting the bpm. Otherwise, I would say that's a promising theory. But with the bpm being calculated by the doppler, I would say that's probably less likely to happen (though not impossible).

Very interesting! I had no idea you could get such totally different readings like that. I figured anything that was me would be lower #s, which should be easily discernable from baby....

Can't wait until we hear the answer to this quandry!

Thats what I thought too, but apparently the blood in the artery that runs through the pelvic are "whooshes" at a higher rate. I got a # in the 130's down there & 160's higher.
