Question What's in your LO's Crib?

I have a 6 month old DS who I think would sleep better with a lovey however I'm nervous to put anything in his crib. The only thing that is in there now is a sleep positioner b/c he likes to sleep on his side but hates being/sleeping on his stomach which is where he ends up without the positioner.
So I'm just curious what if anything you let your younger LOs sleep with?
Thanks!

Her, her blanket, and her winnie the pooh sound and lights soother. That's it. I know people are not supposed to give LOs blankets, but she's slept with a blanket since the day we brought her home from the hospital.

Re: What's in your LO's Crib?

When DD was 6 months we let her have a stuffed bear (actually the ones from BRU that the gift cards come on).
It was pretty firm and small and had no button eyes or nose or anything.
She really loved him.

She is almost 2 now and she has one of those small crib pillows from Ikea, a blanket, 2 stuffed toys (the bear and a duck). That's it.

I leave some books on her dresser where she can reach them. She gets up early and likes to read to her loveys

i dont recall G having anything at 6 months but I think around 8-9months he had a small stuffed curious George. I just recently like a month ago gave him a blanket and pillow.

We still use a sleep sack for him though so the blanket is mainly for him to snuggle with as he rarely covers himself with it.

Re: What's in your LO's Crib?

DD1's crib is loaded..... DH gave her a pillow a few months ago and she is addicted to having her "bo" to lay her head on. DD is very into routines. When she goes to bed she has to have her bo (small pillow that a WAHM made), me to cover her with her blanket, and her berry (he's a build-a-bear bear that she has carried around everywhere since she got it for her 1st birthday). She also has a build-a-bear dog, stuffed pig, and stuffed eeyore. Yeah I know, way too many stuffed animals in there, but DH won't let me take them out because he says they are her friends.

DD2 sleeps with me downstairs because she's still having breathing problems so I let her have a blanket because its always freezing downstairs, and if I turn the air up then it'll be too hot upstairs for DD1.

I've always let my kids sleep with blankets, but they both co-slept either right next to me or in the co-sleeper until they were around 10-12 months old. Now, DS has a couple of his stuffed animals, his pillow, and a few blankets. He is 21 months old.

nothing at 6 months, but honestly, a sleep poitioner is dangerous if you are worried about suffocation, so I would remove that.

I think around 10-12months I gave them a tiny fleece blankey

Re: What's in your LO's Crib?

Now (at 16 months) DD has one of her stuffed kitties, her baby doll and her blankie with her at night.

When she was tiny (maybe two months) she claimed a Gerber birdseye flat as her blankie. I used to use them as makeshift bibs when I was nursing her, so I think that's where the attachment came from. Anyways, she's had it ever since (or one of the twenty I rotate), and I was always pretty comfortable with letting her have it when she was sleeping since it is so thin.
