Re: What's in your LO's Crib?

4 months...thin blanket, binkie, one stuffed frog, one stuffed monkey, and bumper pads. I wasn't going to put bumper pads but after moving out of the bassinet which is surrounded by fabric, he wouldn't sleep in the crib until I put them in. And the stuffed animals he has on each side of his head or he rocks his head for a loooong time instead of going to sleep. If they are there he just goes to sleep. I move them away from his head after he goes to sleep.

Re: What's in your LO's Crib?

She never slept with anything accept a receiving blanket until maybe around 9 months, or at least not that I can remember. Now at 18 months she has a pillow and blanket, and her lovies. An elmo, her gloworm, Horton the elephant and her stuffed pig. She LOVES all of her stuffed animals. She insists that I kiss every single one of them before she goes to bed.

Re: What's in your LO's Crib?

My son likes to play with his "guys" when he wakes up in the morning. He has four mini "Uglydolls," a stuffed Oscar the Grouch, a little Domo-kun, one of those board books with pictures animals that have furry bits that you can pet, and his lovey (a little fuzzy blanket with a bunny head in one corner). He also has a bunch of stuff on his crib rails....a mobile (mounted really high...out of his reach for now), a crib mirror with little toys dangling on it, a musical giraffe, and a Sleep Sheep.

So yeeeeeah, he's got lots to do in there.

We're clearly not overly concerned with SIDs. But he's big, breastfed, very mobile and strong, and no one in our house smokes. So he's pretty low-risk. And none of the stuff in his crib has small parts he could choke on. So I'm pretty sure he's as safe as we can reasonably make him, without hermetically sealing him in a plastic bubble until he's 21....

Re: What's in your LO's Crib?

Leah is six months old and she has a mobile and a cotton blanket with her. She always has a binkie nearby, too.

Re: What's in your LO's Crib?

From 0-3 she was in bed with me but from 4mo-1 yr she had nothing in there at all but a lightweight recieving blanky. I dont believe in those crib bumpers they sell you. Ive heard horror stories about babies suffocating from rolling over into them. I'd rather have LO roll into a post and get a cut (which RARELY happens) rather than suffocate (which HAS happened). Thats MO. My LO has been out of the cribby since 1.5 yrs old. She is in her big girl bed and <3's it. Good luck mama's!

My six and a half month old sleeps with a silky blanket. She has slept with it for awhile now.
