i'd say if he's been walking normally up until now, then there's no worries. kids just like to try different ways of walking. my 4 year old is still walking strangely from time to time, she seems to enjoy trying to run backwards, as you can imagine it's had nothing but Bad reviews from me. lol a friend of mine, her daughter began walking on her toes, and was still doing it at 6 years old. That's when it's a problem. looks like she'll need surgery to correct it.

My sister is 27 and STILL does it. Now my niece is picking up on it at 3 and doing it too. Couldn't hurt to ask your ped about it if it ever concerns you. I'd just remind him not to walk on his tiptoes too much.

I agree with the other posters if you think that there is a problem then get the child checked out otherwise, it is probably just a phase.
