Re: Babywise question

As long as you know that this doctor is suppose to be leaving in a few months then I would let the information about Babywise go in one ear and out the other at this point. If it becomes an issues request to see another doctor in the office because I know I had to do that with my son.

Re: Babywise question

Being that he is Leaving I wouldn't rush - however you will need to find a new Doc anyway - so start looking. If he was not leaving I would find a new Doc as I would feel some of His OPINIONS might be laced with his Firm Beliefs in the Ezzo's.

I have read the book - and Did Growing Kids God's Way and me a my Husband felt Sick.

What is your problem? If you can't face the facts I posted, leave it be. But don't act all victimized because I have information to prove you wrong.

While I dont think this thread was intended to become what is has become, I think you (iammommy) took this WAY to far being nasty here. Atleast Maddie'sMom just posted info. You posted rudeness. So unnecessary.

Re: Babywise question

To the OP...I do wholeheartedly apologize that the thread was derailed. I wanted to post information to help educate on the Ezzo teachings. Like I Said in my first post to you though....you are a strong mommy for listening to your instincts and trusting that they are correct.

I hope you find a great pedi that can help you and your family grow!

Re: Babywise question

I really don't get why docs feel like they should be handing out parenting advice. This exact same thing happened to a friend of mine and she changed doctors. It's one thing to give unbiased information when it's requested...

Re: Babywise question

I think you could probably still see him for well visits if you had to, but I would be more comfortable with a doctor that was more on the same page as I am.

Mama, I would maybe bring up the not-so-positives of the book to him, but wouldnt suggest you find a new doctor. I am not worried about you succumbing to his evil (joke...just to clarify...). My only concern would be him rec. this book to mamas that wouldnt know any better (or giving other neg advice, for that matter). Just mention it to him, no need to leave.
That is exactly what I was trying to say.
My concern would be for less confident parents taking on his advice to get the book and use it. He could still do with the AAP recs seeing he is seeing to pediatric patients.
