gelatin-free lecithin supplement?

An LC has recommended I start taking lecithin supplements for recurrent plugged ducts. But when I was at the store today all the brands contained gelatin.

Does anyone know of any lecithin supplements that don't contain the gelatin?
Thanks in advance!

Re: gelatin-free lecithin supplement?

well, i answered my own question but thought i would post it here in case anyone else is wondering the same thing.

whole foods sells lecithin granules that do not have gelatin (the gelatin is in the capsule part). it's a little less convenient since you have to measure it out yourself but no icky gelatin=me happy!!

Re: gelatin-free lecithin supplement?

There are some vegetarian (gelatin-free) lecithin products available on-line, too: veganessentials.com sells chewable lecithin tablets made by Freeda, and herbalremedies.com sells liquid lecithin tablets made by Now Foods. They also sell the lecithin granules you described.

Helpful for those of us who are still waiting for the Whole Foods to arrive....
