Dh just gave dd peanut butter. What is the correct dosage for liquid children's benadryl just incase?

She is just over 12 months.

Is it 1/2 teaspoon?

I waould have to agree... but it may not hurt to call your ped's office.. just to be catious... ( mine never seem to care when I call ) ... Have a nurse call you back or something

Thats sounds right but I am not a doc by any means

do you think she is allergic ?

Ours always tells us to go by weight before age. !/2 tsp. is probably pretty close-but your better off checking with the peds office.

Re: children's benadryl

She is 24 lbs so not tiny. I walked in on dh eating a pb sandwich and told him not to give dd any since we haven't given her peanuts before. He gave me a look that gave away that he had already given her some. so far, so good though. I am keeping an eye on her and don't plan to give benadryl unless she shows signs of being allergic. Luckily we live 5 minutes from an emergency room.

i think they are supposed to wait til there 12 months old before having any nuts at all. if peanut allergies dont run in the fmaily, i wouldnt worry too much, i gave my kids PB before 12 months and both are fine. its honey you need to stay far away from before 12 months
