Re: Do you see what I see? and HELP! Updated

Good Luck!
I hope it works out with your ob...I hope they schedule you for an u/s since I know it is not "ideal" to have the mirena in during pregnancy, but I know they can't remove it. I just hope it is in a good place for the baby.

Keep us posted.

Re: Do you see what I see? and HELP! Updated

DH is coming around already thank goodness. I did ask the nurse if the IUD could have just came out and she said that happens too. Oh, and I'm having an u/s at my appointment. They said they would have had me come in today but the u/s tech wasn't there. Thanks for all the support mamas!

Re: Do you see what I see? and HELP! Updated Again 08/29

Update 08/29: So I went to my appt today and had the u/s and they couldn't find the IUD anywhere! The doc is thinking it must have come out without me knowing. They did a pregnancy test (urine) and said it was positive but really light, probably due to the fact that I wouldn't even be 4 weeks yet (going by the August 3rd). They couldn't see anything on the u/s either. So they did a blood draw today and I have to go back in Tuesday morning for another one so they can compare the levels. Somebody please tell me this is normal for this stage in pregnancy! I'm so nervous that something will be wrong. This is going to be the longest weekend ever....

I think its all totally normal mama! I've never had an early U/S so I cant say from personal experience but I know mamas that have and they dont see anything - or not much - and get upset with worrying only to see a beautiful little bean a few weeks later. ((hugs)) Try not to worry, soon enough you'll see your little one!

Congrats mama! Yes--totally normal to not "see anything"at barely 4 weeks pg.I've had trans vag u/s's done in my last 3 pregnancies(One being dd Sarah, and 2 angel babes in heaven)--typically at 8 weeks gestation, but w/one of my babes I thought I was 8 weeks, but found out I was just 5 weeks(blame my irregular cycles /PCOS )--the only thing we saw on u/s was a gestational sack measuring 5 weeks pg and the tiny fetal pole.I had to go back the next week--to see the fetal heart beat, wich we did see!Sadly I'd lose this bean at 8 weeks.
I've heard at 4 weeks it's very common to not see anything but thickened linning.HTH.
Hope you have a happy healthy 9 months!
Editing to say--Yay--I'm glad the IUD was no where to be found--less worry. This baby really wanted to be concieved!

Thanks for the reassurance mamas. Hopefully I'll get some good news Tuesday and be able to see the bean in a few weeks.

I had a trans vag u/s at like 5 weeks for bleeding and they only saw a sac and fetal pole so I would guess that seeing nothing is completely normal this early.

Really crazy that it just fell out!! Glad it did though!

Thinking positive thoughts for you mama!

All sounds like good news.I wouldn't worry about the pee test. That varies due to test sensitivity levels, amount of dye in each test, and how diluted your urine may be.Plus you rarely see anything at all in early u/s.Typically week 5-6 you can see stuff(even then you usually just see the sac). And it's awesome that the iud fell out so the bean can implant in a good place.I know you're nervous but everything sounds great already.

As far as not seeing anything on the u/s this early that is normal. You need to be at least 5 weeks before they can see much of anything and even then it's not much.

It sounds like you lost your mirena and your going to have a normal pg!!!

Congratulations and don't worry!
