Re: Anyone here who does NOT own a toilet sprayer?

Bought a sprayer, used it once or twice and sold it. I just grab what I can with tp and toss in the toilet. At night I use fleece liners (he usually poops first thing before I even get him out of the crib).

No don't care for them. I just shake off what will fall in the potty. Sometimes I scrap a bit more with tp. Then just toss in the washer. Its always all come off in there.

Re: Anyone here who does NOT own a toilet sprayer?

I don't...I have some fleece liners that I use when I know he is gonna poop, they work great, otherwise, I just dunk'em...doesn't bother me a bit...my mom laughed at me when I told her about the sprayers...she said she dunked more dipes than I can even imagine. I figure if she could do it, so can it...but not much grosses me out!

Re: Anyone here who does NOT own a toilet sprayer?

i don't have one either. it's not that bad now that her poop is more formed - it tends to plop off (or mostly) with a bit of shaking. when it was just bf then i tossed those straight in the pail...the only time i thought i might like one was during that time when it's really like peanut butter - then i just swished.

i don't worry too much about staining or putting somewhat poopy diapers in the washer. sometimes i find pieces of raisins or peas or whatever in there, but i figure it's nice and clean by then and it doesn't bother me.

I don't use them either. I dunk and flush or use fleece liners. I don't care for the disposable ones.

BF poo all just went into the diaperpail and washer. Older kid poo generally just plops off.. It's the inbetween stuff that I like the fleece for.

I have a mini-shower and don't use it for diapers...just as a bidet!
It just doesn't compare to the fast and clean process with the jet blaster on my hose into a bucket.
Am I the only one who does this?

i actually saw a set up once that was basically a big white painters bucket. it had two hooks set up to hang wet diapers from and you used your mini-shower or sink sprayer or whatever and then you could dump the water in the toilet later. it was supposed to cut down on splattering.

He is almost 8 months now and eats a tiny bit of solids every day. Which makes his poop looks totally weird. It's not the oh-so-great-non-smelly EBF poop, but it's not like real poop that just splashes in the toilet pot either. It's peanut buttery and a pain in the butt.

Some of you ladies say that you are using fleece liners. Does it make sense to use fleece liners on the pocket diapers (fb are already fleece) just to be able to clean them better when he poops?
Thanks!

Re: Anyone here who does NOT own a toilet sprayer?

The only "sprayer" have have used is downstairs in my laudry tub for difficult "peanut butter" poo. I would like to have one, but just never have the extra few dollars to buy one. I guess I have made it this far, %99 of the dipes that I have have fleece or micro in, so I don't mess with liners, I have only "duncked" twice, it is just easier for me to run down to the laundry tub then throw it right into the wash. I also drypail because most of my stash is PUL and that shouldn't be wetpailed.
