Said the toddler in church today...
as she climbed into the pew in front of us and began to jump up and down, she declared at the top of her voice,
"Wook, momee! Momee WOOK! L jumping!" And, the people in church did NOT help. Not only did 4 bust out laughing but afterward at least a dozen told her she was so cute and so well behaved in church today

Children make church services so interesting don't they? ![]() I remember when DS #1 was two years old, it was time to go up for communion, and he was NOT in a cooperative mood. He screamed at the top of his lungs "NO MOMMY!!! NOOOOO!! I DON'T WANT TO SEE JESUS!!!" I about died!

Similar to ours. My almost 3 year old...
"Mommy, I gotta go poop!" This was during communion.

Re: Said the toddler in church today...
Lol. Last week they were short staffed in the nursery, so I tried to bring dd to the service with us. She was ok for about 5 minutes, then started saying very loudly, "I want to go to church!" Of course I tried telling her we were IN church, but she didn't believe me
She thinks the nursery is church. At least the congregation didn't mind your lo's enthusiasm. I've been to services before where people get seriously miffed when kids start talking. Bugs the heck out of me.

We walk out of churches that won't tolerate kids in the service. We bring an activity bag, teach them to behave and step out if they can't get under control. But, if the church simply won't let children be children and present, its definitely NOT the church for us. In the church we're in, we're probably stricter on the kids than anyone else in the church. When the toddler was learning to walk, people would play with her to see if they could lure her to come sit with them--yeah that's listening to the sermon...except of course occasionally the minister would get her to come to HIM and hold her while preaching!

Correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't Jesus a child also? Did he not love all the little children? Makes me wonder if they actually do bible study at all.
